A separate program can provide you with money to make home improvements that save on energy usage. This program is called the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP).
The US government has a program called Lifeline, which helps low-income individuals and families receive discounted phone or internet service. The program helps pay for internet service, landlines and cell phones.
